An art gallery can be defined as a place or location where artworks are put up on display. There are many reasons why artists choose to display their artwork. The most important is to garner recognition from other artists. Artists with a good reputation can become highly successful and make a good living out of his or her favorite hobby. Another reason is to sell his or her artwork as a source of funding for his or her future projects. Another reason is for the artwork itself to be recognized. The number of sculptures a gallery can display depends on the size of the gallery. The perfect example of seeing different artworks in different galleries is the museum. Here, people can see a number of different artworks, all categorized and put on display in the appropriate gallery. The gallery can also display the works of a specific artist only even if it requires displaying different types of art work.
